MISSION TABLES

The Standard Mission Table is made in a very straight style that is associated with that group or style of furniture.   It is  in reality also a double pedestal table and has a gear mechanism for opening and so one person can open the table easily, because as you open one side, the other side opens automatically the same distance.

The Amish have also started making a table they are calling Classic Mission that has bent slats and walnut diamond inlays in the top.  There is also a Classic Mission chair that has the same feature. 

The Amish have just recently started making a Mission Single Pedestal table.  Those prices are also shown below.  It is available in many sizes, but they have only shown the prices of the most popular size so far.  

All tables are available in oak, cherry, maple, or hickory.     Please remember that cherry will darken or form it's own patina as it ages.    Please see woods and stains available.

The shape is usually rectangular  but we have had customers request a square round corner to take a little of the sharpness away. 

The edging on a Mission Table is usually very straight in keeping with the Shaker or Mission style.  However, it may be (1) plain round or (2) Queen Anne also.
