DUBLIN  TABLE

dublinc.jpg (38122 bytes)The Dublin Table is unique in  design.  After listening   to   people talk about the claw  and princess feet on a table, our Amish man designed a foot that would  eliminate the highness of that foot for people who want  to put their feet up while  sitting at the table!

This specially designed foot  allows many chairs  to slide under the table  that were not able to  fit with the  conventional chair if it had a  stretcher across the front. 

This is considered a double pedestal table because the pedestal does not separate when you open it.  Just the top separates.  Any Double-Pedestal table has a gear mechanism for opening and so one person can open the table easily, because as you open one side, the other side opens automatically the same distance.  

Then, he decided to use a cut-off  corner that would be softer for those people that cut corners too short and run into the table on occasion!  This cut-off corner has become popular on other tables now.  It allows you to sit the salad or rolls on the corner  of the table and not round it off near as much as the oval cut.    It can also  have self-storing leaves with the right beginning size that allows for the correct  distance at the end for a chair to fit in and still have enough room for the  pedestal to be far enough apart to hold the leaves for storage.

There are only options of wood, stains, and shape on this table because the base is a unique design.  It is a very practical table and is very popular because it is unique.
