Our Amish require half down when the item is ordered, and the second
half when it is picked up, or second half
and shipping when it is sent out. We have several places listed
for shipping since many of the items
will not fit into DHL size requirement box.
Most of our smaller items can be shipped via DHL.
These items are: rockers, gliders, shelves, lazy susans, occasional
tables, wagons, children's furniture and cedar chests. We can let you
know if the item you would like can be shipped through DHL.
Your
furniture will be insured and very well packaged and crated. However, if
there is damage to your item, please call us right away and we'll handle
the claims process through the carrier.
We can call

and get you a price on shipping, but since they will have a few
questions to ask that only you can answer, we feel it is best if you do
the calling to their toll-free number (800)
548-0852 and get the exact cost of shipping. They will
want to know what items you plan on having shipped, the total value
(since it will be fully insured) and your zip code.
They will also want to know if you
want inside or curb side delivery. There is quite a difference in cost.
Because we have had things sent to a 23rd floor apartment in
New York City, those people needed to pay extra to have it un-crated,
taken into their apartment, and the packing materials taken away by the
people doing the delivering. The shippers also needed to know this so
they could send extra men to take care of this detail since it is
usually only one man making the delivery. Curb side delivery is much
less expensive because you do the un-crating and you dispose of the
packing materials.
When you call

they will give you a quote with no obligation and also give you a quote
number. When you order, we will need to know that quote number since we
will be calling them when it is time to go pick up your furniture and
have it sent to you. All the billing for the Amish and
PackShip/USA is handled through The Amish Peddler.
When the order is placed with us,
we require half down. The money can be sent by check, or you can call us
with a credit card number. We have not purchased the security to have
you put your credit card number out on our web site. Then when the Amish
man contacts us that the furniture is ready,

will go and pick it up. When they are shipping it out to you, they will
call us and tell us it is being shipped, and we will run through the
second half here and the shipping costs at that time. All the processing
for the furniture and the shipping is done through The Amish Peddler.
